I conceived of, architected, designed, and implemented a seekable (randomly accessible) S3 compression client over the standard Amazon S3 client that transparently compresses all data passing through S3. This reduced data storage by 90% and saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in monthly costs for mParticle.
